Annette Zimmer

Professor of Social Policy and Comparative Politics at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Münster, Germany. She was affiliated with the Program on Nonprofit-Organizations at Yale University, she also served as the DAAD Visting Professor of German and European Studies at the Centre for International Studies of the University of Toronto, Canada, and as a Visiting Researcher at the American Centre for Contemporary Germany Studies in Washington, D.C.

Her teaching experience covers BA, Master and PhD-programs at universities in Germany (Kassel, Münster, Fankfurt), Canada (Toronto), the Netherlands (Twente), and France (Lille). Her research focuses on the topics such as civil society – government relationships as well as on the role and function of nonprofit organizations in selected policy fields. She is Scientific Coordinator of the EU funded project FAB MOBE: “For a better tommorow: Social Enterprises on the move”.
